Dear Fencing Friends and Family,

Effective July 31, 2011 Prince William Fencing Academy ceased sport fencing operations and vacated the Kao Circle location. The economy has been extremely hard on small family owned businesses and ours was no exception.

Many of you will want to know how to keep yourself or your children fencing in Northern Virginia now that we have closed. Guest Coach Alexei Sintchinov (alexsin@list.ru) will be responsible for delivering his coaching at a location of his own arrangement beginning in August. Guest Coach Greg Kaidanov (coachgreg@kaidanovfencing.org) and the Ronin Fencing Foundation are actively working on developing a new space in the same complex. Fencers associated with Coach Alexei or Coach Greg who have questions regarding training schedules, fencing locations, and/or fees beyond July should contact their respective coaches. For purposes of upcoming registration we suggest PWFA competitive fencers elect to register “Unattached” for next season while we determine the future of the USFA club called "Prince William Fencing Academy" going forward.
